August 01, 2019
An accident occurred at a South Jersey water park on Tuesday night involving a 9-year-old child. The fatal accident occurred around 7:30 pm at the Berlin, New Jersey water park during a camping trip. Despite attempts to revive the camper, first responders and medical professionals at the hospital where he received treatment were unsuccessful.
Before and during the summer months, it is wise to review water safety with your family because accidents may occur if visitors fail to understand the hazards or to protect themselves. For example, younger children and others who may be inexperienced or weak swimmers should wear life vests. When at a water park or similar attractions, it is best to adhere to the safeguards in place and heed the instructions set out by the facility and lifeguards.
