House Collapses in Brant Beach, Causing Two Construction Workers to be Hospitalized

Two men were airlifted to a local hospital after the top floor and deck collapsed on a Brant Beach home. The two men, ages 40 and 35, are construction workers who were working on the house before the accident occured. The collapse happened around 8:30 am on Sept. 24, 2020. A neighbor stated that she heard a very loud “boom” followed by smaller crashing noises. A member of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration arrived on the scene around 10:30 am and will continue to lead the ongoing investigation. First responders were also on the scene and law enforcement has the area blocked off until further notice.

The condition of the two construction workers is still unknown.
