A Stolen Car Rampage Leaves Restaurant Worker Dead, Three Injured

A driver in a stolen vehicle hit a restaurant worker walking on the South Street sidewalk in Center City, then drove half a block, and turned around to hit her again. The woman died of her injuries a few hours later. The same car was seen hitting a motorcycle on Broad Street, causing two people to become injured. 

The stolen vehicle, a Chevy Malibu, was later found close to the first hit and run site, and it is believed the driver fled on foot.

At 5:30 am Wednesday morning, the same driver is suspected of a hit and run of a pedestrian in Manayunk.  

The suspect was later apprehended by police in Collegeville, Montgomery County.

None of the victim’s names have been released by police. The story is still developing and few details have been released.
